Our Story

What started as a one-off polymer clay workshop in a quiet Cathedral Junction studio quickly became seasonal arts & crafts workshops being held in not one — not two — but THREE cities around Aotearoa New Zealand!

Founded in 2021 by Chloe Winstanley, Creative Otautahi was the first business in Christchurch to run assorted craft & sip workshops and events.

In her Christchurch CBD studio, Chloe ran polymer clay earring-making workshops, terrarium-making workshops, and collaborative watercolour painting workshops with talented local artist Fio Ortecho.

Creative Otautahi soon expanded to include candle-making & sip workshops once candle-expert and business-owner Irish Athena Flores came onboard.

Now, Chloe and Irish run an assortment of craft workshops together, popping up in different venues around the country.

Meet the Team.
